Best of 2013 Wedding Photography: So…2013 year was a cracker. Although I’d moved from London the year previously it still felt like everything was new: new website (from scratch…), new venues (how utterly gorgeous is the Cotswold’s?), new home (from rented barn to own family house), new schools for my three children: the list goes on. You could say 2013 was eventful! And in amongst this I shot over thirty five weddings, numerous private parties and Balls, even (not literally because that would not have been good…) somebody’s Labradoodle. In doing so, I met some wonderful people along the way.
Looking back through my wedding pictures from last year brought back many happy memories, including a fabulous wedding in April where, unusually, we had a snow blizzard. But it was on with the happy faces and out we went…and the result: fabulous, unique shots – fortune favours the brave, Cat and James and both of you were stars. Snow is the new sun, trust me.
I also got to realise how many fabulous wedding locations and venues the Cotswold’s offers. Only yesterday, I was walking around Berkeley Castle with a couple who have booked me to photograph their wedding in August this year. Believe me, you have to go some to top this place. Stunning.
Putting a selection of pictures together for a review of the year is never easy but I’ve done my best to give you a flavour of the fun I had being a wedding photographer in my “new home”. Of course, if you happen to be a bride or groom looking for inspiration, ideas or to decide who you’d like to photograph your wedding then I hope I brought a smile to your face. And if you’d like to see more then I’d love to hear from you.
